It’s official! Fans of Julia Bradbury and Ore Oduba’s popular ITV programme, ‘Britain’s Favourite Walks‘ have voted to include the Sandstone Trail on that list.
The Sandstone Trail appears at number 70, above Clifton Suspension Bridge and the White Cliffs of Dover.
And no wonder: the elevated 34-mile ridge walk has everything you’d dream of on a walk: hills, caves, forests, viewpoints, ancient inns, and even two castles facing each other across the Cheshire Plain.
The Sandstone Trail has always been popular but its fame spread beyond the Northwest when it was featured on Julia Bradbury’s show last year.
The comprehensive dedicated website – www.sandstonetrail.co.uk – has also helped bring the Trail’s popularity to a wider audience.
Now everyone can enjoy the Sandstone Trail
