Sandstone Trail Gallery
For 34 miles/ 55 kilometres, the Sandstone Trail runs along the wooded sandstone spine of Cheshire, in the north of England. The elevated route promises ever-changing panoramas, with views west over the Dee Valley to the Welsh mountains and east towards the Pennines.
Along the way you’ll experience the very best of Cheshire: sandstone cliffs and caves, hill forts and castles, ancient Delamere Forest, inns and manor houses, meres and mosses, heathland and heather.
